Ambulance crews and the Palestinian Civil Defense recovered the bodies of more than 60 martyrs from the Al Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City, following the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the place following a ground invasion that lasted about two weeks. Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) on Thursday cited local sources as reporting that ambulance and civil defense crews recovered the bodies of more than 60 martyrs from the Al Shujaiya neighborhood, noting that dozens of other victims remained under the rubble. It pointed out that the occupation forces destroyed more than 85 percent of the residential buildings in the neighborhood, which became a disaster area unfit for habitation, and a medical clinic that provided services to more than 60,000 citizens, leaving behind massive destruction that turned Al Shujaiya into ruins after bombing entire residential squares, bulldozing streets, and targeting infrastructure. The same sources confirmed that the occupation soldiers opened fire on civi lians during their displacement despite the exit routes having been determined in advance, describing what was happening against them as a complete process of genocide. Meanwhile, the occupation forces continue their incursion into the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood and several neighborhoods in Gaza City, destroying all aspects of life there, amid reports of the martyrdom of at least 50 citizens, and families remaining besieged without being able to reach them. According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the number of martyrs of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 38,345 martyrs, in addition to 88,295 wounded.
