Brussels, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Dosari, Ambassador of Bahrain to Belgium and Head of the Diplomatic Mission to the European Union (EU), led the Bahraini delegation at the 8th Brussels Conference on "Supporting the future of Syria and the region". The conference was attended by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; the UN Secretary-General; Foreign Ministers from neighboring countries, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon; Ministers, senior officials, and ambassadors from the EU and Arab countries, and representatives from UN bodies and international organisations. The conference is aimed at mobilising vital financial support to meet the most urgent needs of Syrians and their host communities and to renew the international community's support for a political solution to the crisis in Syria, in line with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
