Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain values the initiative of the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, regarding a ceasefire in Gaza, a statement by the Foreign affairs Ministry said. Bahrain called upon all parties to respond seriously and positively to the proposal, as it is an opportunity to permanently end the war, release hostages and detainees, rebuild Gaza, and expand the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to civilians. The statement added that the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes all initiatives and efforts aimed at an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and addressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Strip. This aligns with the decisions of the 33rd Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on May 16, and the call for holding an international conference for peace in the Middle East leading to the establishment of a national, independent and secure Palestinian state.
