Geneva, Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, represented by Dr. Bassam Ismail Al Binmohammed and MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, participated in the Standing Committee on UN Affairs at the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly, discussing the complementarity between the UN and G20. The delegation emphasised the need for stronger UN-G20 cooperation to effectively address global challenges and support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and avoid resource duplication. They also noted that the G20 can bolster UN initiatives on issues like climate change and sustainable development. The delegation reiterated bahrain's commitment to international cooperation and diplomatic dialogue for the benefit of all nations.
