Doha: HE Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Humanitarian Funds of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Doha Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Hassan Al-Thani noted the leading role of the State of Qatar in hosting the offices of UN and international institutions, including the United Nations House in Doha, which brings together development, humanitarian, and diplomatic work under one roof. During his visit to the United Nations House in Doha, His Excellency pointed out the establishment of broad partnerships with the majority of UN and international institutions in the service of humanitarian work, calling for more partnerships that would result in unifying humanitarian work efforts. His Excellency emphasized the need to work closely with UN, international, and regional organizations in the form of partnerships, which would enhance the coordination of joint efforts in humanitarian work in conflict areas, stressing the possibility of presenting joint projects between humanitarian funds a nd the United Nations in times of disasters and crises. The State of Qatar's hosting of the United Nations House came within the framework of strengthening the partnership and relations between Qatar and the United Nations at the international level, and enabling Qatar's role in financing and supporting development projects globally.
