Damascus, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous participated in the extensive dialogue workshop held by Damascus University on Thursday about 'climate changes, challenges and ways to confront them' on all sectors, especially the agriculture and water sectors. Ministry of water resources in coordination with Ministries of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Local Administration and Environment, held this workshop participating with Ministers of Water Resources,Hussein Makhlouf, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Bassam Ibrahim, and Agriculture , Mohammad Hassan Qatna, Local Administration and Environment, Lamia Shukor, and Fadi Salti Al-Khalil, Head of the Planning and International Cooperation Commission. Participants will discuss the impact of climate change on water resources and agricultural production, the most prominent measures taken and proposed to adapt and mitigate it.
