Doha: June 01 - The thirty-sixth edition of Doha Theatrical Festival presented on Saturday the play 'Sikkat Bin Assi' as part of the competing performances in the festival. The Festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture and continues until June 4. The play is written and directed by Saad Burshid, and its scenography by Ibrahim Lari. Its actors are Saad Bakhit Abdullah Al Assam, Shuail Al Kuwari, Hassan Saqr, Sarah, Rashid Ahmed, Juma Al Ahmad, Retaj, Ahmed Rawani, and it is produced by Al Wakra Artistic Production Company. The festival embodies the goals of the Ministry of Culture in activating and developing the theatrical movement by presenting distinguished theatrical performances in which there are many intellectual and directing trends and artistic treatments; developing the theatrical awareness of young theater artists through intellectual and artistic seminars; and supporting and encouraging distinguished local theater experiences.
