Manama, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, received a delegation from the University of Strathclyde, led by Professor Sir Jim McDonald, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the university in the United Kingdom. The delegation included Professor David Hillier, Associate Principal and Executive Dean of the University of Strathclyde Business School; Khalid Al Hammadi, Chairman of the University of Strathclyde Bahrain; and Professor Stephen McArthur, President of the University. The minister praised the project to establish the University of Strathclyde in Bahrain. He reiterated the ministry's and the council's support for the project as part of efforts to attract top higher education institutions to Bahrain, aiming to broaden academic opportunities and specialisations available to students. Minister Dr. Juma also commended the competence of the team overseeing the project, affirming the ministry's support in academic, administrative, and regulatory aspects to ensure the successful opening of the University of Strathclyde in the upcoming academic year.
