Cairo, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the meeting of the Committee for the Follow-up on the Implementation of Decisions and Obligations at the ministerial level affiliated with the Arab League. The meeting was held at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the member states on the committee, and in the presence of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Arab League Secretary-General. The meeting reviewed the efforts of the General Secretariat in following up on the implementation of decisions made by the Arab leaders during the 33rd Arab Summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain last May (Bahrain Summit). The discussions focused on issues related to advancing Arab cooperation. The meeting was attended by Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League; Ahmed Mohammed Al Turaifi, Chief of the Arab and African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the acco mpanying delegation of the Foreign Minister.
