New York, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Foreign Minister, met with Bakhtiyor Saidov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting discussed the distinguished relations between the two countries and means to further enhance cooperation in various domains to serve their mutual interests. Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments, including the situation in the Gaza Strip and other regional conflicts, as well as issues of common interest. Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaiei, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the UN, and Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the meeting.
