Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), participated in the launching ceremony of the new website and the Gulf Press Union logo, on the sidelines of the 33rd Arab Summit in Bahrain. Nabeel bin Yaqub Al Hamer, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, and Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi were present. The Secretary General affirmed the council's support of media initiatives and projects that align with the latest technologies, commending the advancement of media institutions in the GCC. He wished the union success in achieving its goals. Dr. Al Noaimi commended the union's efforts in supporting the advancement of journalism in the GCC and promoting cooperation among journalists and media institutions. He affirmed the kingdom's efforts in strengthening cooperation with GCC countries in various domains, especially in the media and journalism sector. Isa Al Shaiji, Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association (BJA) thanked HM the King and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support of the BJA.
