Manama, The Good Word Society presented two insulin pumps donated by Zakat House Kuwait as part of its Insulin Pumps project to the Bahrain Diabetes Society. The presentation was made at a meeting between His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Cabinet Affairs Ministry and Honorary President of the Good Word Society and Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and Chairman of the Bahrain Diabetes Society (BDS), and Abdulrahman Al Tarkait, Acting Director of the External Activity Department at Zakat House Kuwait. Insulin pumps are small computerised wearable devices that deliver specific amounts of insulin continuously throughout the day.
