Gaza - Together - On Saturday, two Hamas officials denied reports that the movement's leadership was considering leaving Qatar for another host country. The two officials added that the movement wants to strengthen relations with Turkey, including receiving aid directly from it, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. On Saturday, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul. Erdogan's office said that the two sides discussed the steps required for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the need to continuously deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza. The American Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that the Hamas movement had contacted at least two countries in the region about transferring its political leaders to them. The newspaper explained, citing diplomatic sources, that Hamas' move came as a result of mediators from Egypt and Qatar exerting pressure on the movement to ease the conditions for negotiations with Israel. She pointed out that the talks are on hold again, with no signs or possibilities for resuming them any time soon, and the lack of trust is growing between Hamas and the negotiators.
