Manama, The closing ceremony of the 14th edition of the His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work will take place on September 17. The event is organised by the Good Word Society in collaboration with the Arab Union for Voluntary Work. The award is sponsored by Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Al Salam Bank, and Solidarity Bahrain, with media coverage from Al Bilad, Al Ayam, and Al Watan newspapers. The ceremony will honour 12 prominent Arab figures for their significant contributions to voluntary work, fostering development in their respective countries. Selection was based on criteria such as social standing, voluntary impact, national influence, and professional achievements. Additionally, six leading voluntary projects and associations will be recognized as winners of the 8th edition of the His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Best Bahraini Volunteer Project. A national institution will also receive the Community Leadership Award for its positive societal impact. The His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work aims to encourage volunteers to develop innovative solutions to challenges, promote a culture of volunteerism at both local and Arab levels, and enhance volunteers' skills by sharing their expertise with target groups for the benefit of society.
