Manama, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), chaired its board of directors meeting for the second quarter of 2024. The meeting discussed strategic initiatives to boost Bahraini enterprise growth, domestic employment, and career development, including a key partnership with the Supreme Council for Health (SCH) to support over 700 Bahraini doctors and nurses. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, presented key achievements for the first half of the year. These include supporting over 8,800 Bahrainis in entering the labour market, providing career development support to more than 12,000 Bahrainis, and supporting over 5,000 enterprises, 57% of which were small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The meeting underscored that these achievements demonstrate Tamkeen's alignment with the National Labour Market plan, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Tamkeen's strategic priorities will focus on increasing economic participation, expanding career development opportunities, and enhancing private sector productivity through technology adoption and enterprise support.
