His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) was congratulated by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Information Minister on the winning of KHK Racing’s colt, "Vandeek", in winning Sumbe Prix Morny (G1) after clinching the first place in the 1200-meter race at Deauville, France.
This achievement reflects the advanced status of sports in Bahrain, especially equestrian sports and horse racing, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the minister said.
The minister affirmed that the "KHK" team's distiniguished achievement in equestrian sports was a result of HH Shaikh Khalid’s efforts, which added to Bahrain's track record in this sport.
Dr. Al Noaimi wished HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and the KHK Racing Team further success in the future.
