Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, who is currently in the kingdom to participate in the 33rd Arab Summit which will be held in Bahrain on 16 May. The Secretary-General briefed His Majesty on the final preparation for the Bahrain Summit, the topics on the agenda, and the arrangements made to ensure its success. His Majesty the King expressed thanks to the Secretary-General for his efforts and those of the General Secretariat in co-operation with the concerned authorities in Bahrain to prepare for the Arab Summit to provide all the means for its success and achieving the desired goals. HM the King also expressed pride in hosting the Arab Summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which holds significant importance in light of the exceptional circumstances and challenges the region is witnessing as a result of the rapid events and developments. HM the King wished success to Arab leaders in serving Arab causes at the Bahrain Summit, protecting Arab interests, fulfilling development aspirations, and supporting regional peace and stability. His Majesty affirmed the support of Bahrain for all efforts undertaken by the Arab League, underscoring its effective role in strengthening joint Arab action, and bolstering unity and solidarity among member states. His Majesty emphasised the kingdom's support for all initiatives and Arab efforts aimed at serving the Arab nation, strengthening its unity, and preserving its security and stability. The Secretary-General expressed thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for efforts made by the kingdom in organising and preparing for the Bahrain Summit and providing all the resources to make it a success. Aboul Gheit lauded the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty the King, for the Arab League and its stance in supporting the Arab Nation and protecting its interests. The meeting reviewed the latest Arab, regional, and international developments. His Majesty the King then in spected the summit's facilities and the services provided to the country's guests. His Majesty stressed the importance of the collaborating efforts of all organising parties to ensure the success of the summit at all levels.
