New York, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York. The meeting took place during HRH's leadership of Bahrain's delegation on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness emphasised the crucial role played by international organisations and institutions in strengthening global security, peace and stability. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister acknowledged their dedicated efforts to support development through innovative initiatives and programmes that address pressing global challenges. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also recognised the United Nation's initiatives to promote international collaboration and multilateralism in tackling these challenges. In this context, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination w ith the UN.
