Senior Iranian military official Brigadier General Siavash Mihandoost said that the sound was heard in the east of Isfahan as the citys air defense fired at a suspicious object. The relatively loud noise was heard at 4 a.m. local time, after Iran activated an air defense system after the sound of an explosion heard in the central province of Isfahan, the official IRNA news agency reported. No damage has been reported in the incident, the Mihandoost added. Earlier today, IRNA reported that air defense activity is on 100% alert, amidst US media reports on an "Israeli strike inside Iran," however the reports have not been officially confirmed.
