Iraqi security forces arrested three suspected members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Sulaimani province, north of Iraq. In a statement, Iraqi National Security Service confirmed that it had successfully caught the ISIS members off guard, and arrested 21 of them in Sulaimani province, in collaboration with the authorities of Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The detainees confessed that they belonged to ISIS and had engaged in operations against the Iraqi forces. Noteworthy, remnants of ISIS are still active in northern and western regions of Iraq and taking them as strongholds to further conduct operations against military and security forces, as well as civilians.
