New York, Iranian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, has affirmed that the measures taken by the United States in Syria and Iraq are illegal and violate international laws and the United Nations Charter. Iravani said in a letter to the President of the UN Security Council that the United States is making many allegations and baseless accusations about paramilitary groups affiliated with the Iranian Armed Forces being involved in measures against American personnel and facilities in Iraq and Syria, stressing that Iran categorically rejects such measures and these claims and allegations. Iravani asked the president of the Security Council to present the Iranian responses to these American allegations to the members of the Council and have them officially approved.
