Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with a notable decrease in the All Share Index, which fell by 65.70 points to settle at 8,698.77 points, marking a decrease of 0.75 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading activities saw as many as 368.4 million shares exchanged hands, with a total value of KWD 84.3 million, approximately USD 275.2 million, spread across 22,002 transactions. The Main Market Index exhibited a slight increase of 1.94 points, reaching 8,487.27 points, which represented a 0.02 percent rise. This was achieved through 217.1 million shares traded in 12,499 transactions, valued at KWD 34.1 million or roughly USD 111.3 million.
The Premier Market Index, however, experienced a decline, losing 83.49 points to close at 9,195.18 points, a decrease of 0.90 percent. This index saw 151.2 million shares traded through 9,503 transactions, with a total value of KWD 50.1 million, or approximately USD 163.5 million. Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index also saw a decrease, dropping by 184.24 points to reach 9,382.81 points, down by 1.93 percent. This decline was recorded through a stock volume of 186.2 million shares, executed in 9,802 deals, valued at KWD 28.1 million, roughly USD 91.7 million.
