Astana, Special Representative of the Russian President to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, said that the U.S. is the main reason behind instability in Syria as it continues its illegal military presence and supports terrorist organizations and separatist groups in the country. Lavrentiev, during a press conference on Thursday at the conclusion of the two-day 21st international meeting under Astana formula on Syria, added that Russia and Iran are in agreement that the illegal American presence in Al-Jazeera and Al-Tanf regions is the main reason of instability in Syria, where it continues plundering the Syrian resources, encouraging separatist groups and supporting terrorist organizations, particularly Daesh which destabilizes the situation there, and this matter is unacceptable. He stressed that the Syrian people rejects any separatist attempt and the U.S. illegitimate presence as well. Lavrentiev pointed out that the Israeli attack on Syrian territory, bombing civilian centers and airports and leaving innoc ent victims is a blatant violation of allinternational rules and laws, calling on the international community to put an end the repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon and to stop the ongoing aggression onthe Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
