Doha: Over the course of two days, Lusail University organized its 2nd career fair to provide a platform for students and graduates to access available job opportunities and discover practical training opportunities. The exhibition, which was inaugurated by HE President of Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, was attended by more than 50 employers from various private and government sectors and institutions operating in various fields, including education, finance, energy, and law firms, in a clear increase over the number of participants in 2023 edition. Marking the occasion, Director of Student Life at Lusail University Talela Thani Al Kuwari emphasized the importance of the career fair as a direct link between students and the labour market. She noted that this event coincides with the university's growth and continuous development in various fields, reflecting its commitment to providing its students with the necessary tools to face the challenges of the moder n labour market. She stressed that the university pays special attention to the professional aspirations of students, and seeks to enhance their educational and professional skills until they graduate, through organizing workshops, training courses, and exhibitions that focus on developing personal and academic skills, so that the university can provide students with the changing requirements of the labour market. She highlighted that the participating entities in the fair provided distinctive opportunities that are in line with the aspirations of Lusail University students in various fields, as these opportunities are valuable for students to learn about the best training opportunities and job offers. The career fair also allows participating entities to communicate directly with students and attract promising graduates. Al Kuwari urged all students to make the most of this unique opportunity, noting that their success depends on interaction and effective participation in such events. The career fair incl uded multiple awareness activities about the labour market and the required specializations and necessary skills. On the sidelines of the fair, CV writing workshops were presented to students with the aim of helping students write a professional CV. The career fair is a unique opportunity for employers, students, and graduates as well, as it provides employers with the opportunity to interact directly with students and graduates and allows them to attract young talents and recruit promising graduates.
