Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of poor horizontal visibility in some inshore areas early Saturday due to mist and fog.
According to Qatar News Agency, the department stated in its daily weather report that inshore conditions until 6:00 p.m. will be misty to foggy in places at first, becoming hot during the day. Offshore, conditions are expected to be misty initially, transitioning to hazy with scattered clouds at times.
Inshore winds will start as variable at less than 5 knots, shifting to northeasterly to northwesterly at 5 to 15 knots, with gusts reaching up to 20 knots in some areas early in the day. Offshore winds will primarily be northeasterly to southeasterly at 5 to 15 knots.
Sea conditions inshore will vary from 1 to 3 feet, while offshore seas will range from 2 to 4 feet. Visibility inshore is projected to range between 4 and 9 km, potentially dropping to 2 km or less in certain areas early in the day. Offshore visibility will range between 3 and 8 km.
