Manama, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated its support for President Joe Biden's initiative to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza. It urged Israel and Hamas to accept the initiative, which represents an opportunity to end the devastating war that has been ongoing for eight months, ensure the release of hostages and detainees, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to innocent civilians. The Ministry called for both parties to make necessary concessions to address the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, and to utilise the American initiative to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza, providing them with relief, restoring security and stability, and paving the way for negotiations on comprehensive peace in the region.
