Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), through its National Radiation Monitoring and Early Warning Network, has confirmed that there have been no abnormal radiation levels detected in the air or territorial waters of Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MoECC announced that the National Radiation Monitoring and Early Warning Network, which includes both land and marine stations across the nation, consistently monitors radiation levels. These stations are equipped with an early warning system that issues immediate alerts to ensure a quick response if there is any unusual increase in radiation.
Furthermore, the MoECC stated that it maintains coordination and communication with the International Atomic Energy Agency's Incident and Emergency Center. This collaboration helps the MoECC stay informed about any developments at the regional level that could be relevant to Qatar.
The MoECC also advised citizens and residents to seek information from official sources to ensure the accuracy of the information they receive.
