Doha: Organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) and Carnegie Mellon University - Qatar (CMU-Q), in cooperation with ICPC, the global organizing body based at Baylor University, the QCPC National Programming Competition has concluded. The competition's third edition witnessed participation from university students in Qatar and 26 teams from 19 government secondary schools. As a result, the team from Ali Bin Jassim Al-Thani Secondary School qualified to participate in the Arab Programming Competition (ACPC). In their remarks at the conclusion of the competition, President of CMU-Q Dr. Michael Trick, Dean of the School of Computer Science at CMU-Q Dr. Khaled Haras, and Educational Guidance Consultant in the Information Technology Department at the MOEHE Huda Al Emadi stressed the significance of the competition as a distinguished scientific event that contributes to enhancing the programming skills of its participants. The results were announced and the teams that won the first three places at the secondary school and university levels in Qatar were honored. The National Programming Competition (QCPC) is a competitive, multi-level programming contest held annually for university and secondary school students in Qatar. This competition aims to enhance programming and problem-solving skills and develop students' logical and computational thinking abilities through collaborative work. Participants innovate correct programming solutions for the maximum number of proposed programming problems within a specified timeframe. Source: Qatar News Agency
