Manama, Ali bin Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, Northern Governor, received Okai Asako, the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Bahrain. Amal Isa Dawood Bu Chandal, Director of the Information and Follow-up Directorate at the Northern Governorate, attended the meeting. The governor praised the strong bilateral ties and wished the ambassador success in enhancing economic and diplomatic relations. He highlighted the significance of leveraging the existing growth opportunities, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and enhancing the training of the Bahraini workforce in Japanese factories and companies. Al Asfoor expressed his ambition that Bahrain become a hub for Japanese companies in the region, and learn from their expertise in disaster management, particularly in volunteering for health cities programmes. The ambassador expressed pride in working in Bahrain, emphasising her country's commitment to enhance cooperation for common benefits. She wished Bahrain further progress and pr osperity.
