Israeli Occupation Forces ordered Palestinians to evacuate large areas of the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip Monday, while conducting intensive aerial and artillery bombardment of the area. The Occupation Army previously claimed that the area it is demanding to be evacuated today is within the humanitarian and safe areas. However, a statement issued by their spokesman claimed that staying in the area had become dangerous, despite it being destroyed and subjected previously to heavy bombardment. Palestinian citizens returned to the area because there was no other option and no other place to resort to. The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that "immediately after the armys decision was issued, the intensive bombing operation began from the air and land without giving citizens a chance to prepare themselves, which killed at least 12 civilians and the injury of dozens." About a week ago, the occupation army committed a massacre in Al-Mawasi area, which it claimed was safe, resulting in the killing of 90 Palestinians and the injury of 300, in a series of raids that targeted tents and places where the Palestinians were displaced. Last April, the Israeli occupants forced Palestinians to evacuate eastern areas of the city of Rafah and to Khan Yunis and Al-Mawasi despite their destruction. Source: Qatar News Agency
