Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed that it is closely monitoring the developments of the military escalation in the region and the dangers of its repercussions, emphasizing the importance of exercising restraint to spare the region and its peoples the risks of wars. It underscored its position calling for adherence to international laws and the need for the Security Council to fulfill its responsibility towards maintaining international peace and security. In a statement issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, the Sultanate reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and opening humanitarian and relief aid corridors to all parts of the Strip without obstacles.
