The Sultanate of Oman expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the assassination of the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Dr. Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, Tehran, considering it a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law and a clear undermining of efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region. In a statement on Wednesday, Oman's Foreign Ministry affirmed its firm stance in rejecting all forms of terrorism, regardless of its motives and causes, as well as rejecting violations of the sovereignty and sanctities of states, urging the international community to intervene urgently to punish the perpetrators of these crimes and political assassinations and to take immediate action to stop the Israeli genocide, the continued illegal occupation of Palestinian territories and the policy of killing, extremism, and abuse practiced against the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the holy Occupi ed Jerusalem (Al-Quds). Earlier today, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced the assassination of its political Bureau Chief, Dr. Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, Iran, following a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran, after he participated in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President.
