Ramallah, Palestinian Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Mustafa and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, ways to end the Israeli onslaught, and ways to enhance the provision of aid to the Gaza Strip. During the meeting, Mustafa said that the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2735 serves as a good start to reach a cease-fire and ensure the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, which are a priority. The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of doubling efforts to stop all actions and incursions of the Israeli occupation and settler attacks in the West Bank. Mustafa added that Israel's continued withholding and deduction of Palestinian tax revenues threaten the Palestinian government's ability to fulfill its obligations, calling on Germany to support the Palestinian government in maintaining its provision of vital services such as those related to the health and education sectors. For her part, Baerbock s tressed the importance of continuing joint American, European, and Arab efforts to reach a solution to the conflict and achieve the two-state solution, emphasizing her countrys ongoing efforts to release Palestinian tax funds withheld by Israel.
