Peru Recovers 342 Cultural Assets from Six Nations


Hanoi:The country has successfully repatriated 342 cultural assets from six countries in Europe and the Americas, marking the largest return of cultural items to Peru so far this year.



According to Qatar News Agency, these assets were retrieved from Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Among the returned items is the manuscript of “Ancient Peruvian Art,” a unique piece featuring watercolors of significant academic value.



Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Espa emphasized that the return of these cultural assets will aid in their preservation, study, and transmission to future generations. He noted that each piece serves as a testament to the societies, knowledge, and cultural expressions that have shaped Peru’s history.
