Qatar and Saudi Arabia Discuss Improved Border Control Measures

Doha: As part of efforts to enhance security cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a coordination meeting was held via video conference. The meeting focused on streamlining passenger procedures and exchanging data between the Abu Samra Border Passport Control in Qatar and the Salwa Border Passport Control in Saudi Arabia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by key officials from both countries. Colonel Faleh Fahad Al Nuaimi, Director of the Border Passports Department, led the Qatari side, while Colonel Abdullah Al Qahtani, Director of the Border Passports Department, represented the Saudi side.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to discuss mechanisms for facilitating travel procedures and improving the efficiency of border crossings between the two nations. This meeting signifies a step forward in bilateral relations and a commitment to enhancing security and cooperation along the shared border.
