Qatar Charity inaugurated the 'Aisha bint Jassim Al-Muftah' school in the Bay Region of Somalia's South-West State, and provided 1,800 students - including many orphans and children from underprivileged families - with school bags and supplies at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year as part of Qatar Charity's ongoing efforts to bolster education and community development. This project is part of Qatar Charity's efforts in Somalia to expand educational opportunities, create a conducive learning environment, and pave the way for a brighter future for Somali children. The newly inaugurated school can accommodate 200 male and female students. The school's opening coincides with Qatar Charity's recently launched campaign "Prioritizing their Education." The campaign aims to provide school supplies to children from low-income families in several countries, ensuring they start the academic year with joy and the necessary supplies. Several Somali officials and students' parents attended the school's inaugu ration ceremony. Source: Qatar News Agency
