Doha: The State of Qatar chaired the 27th meeting of the GCC Permanent Committee of Legislative Departments in Doha on Thursday. The session was led by Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Buainain, Director of the Legislative Department at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, and was attended by delegations from various GCC countries. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Buainain, in his opening remarks, extended a warm welcome to the participating delegations and emphasized the significance of the meeting in enhancing joint GCC legislative collaboration. He praised the committee's substantial contributions, which have enriched legislative work and led to the adoption and issuance of unified GCC legislations. The meeting's agenda included discussions on several draft unified regulations and laws, a review of the GCC legislative vision, and the outcomes of the first meeting of the working group tasked with compiling principles of legislation issued by the GCC legislative departments. Participants also took appropriate decisions on these matters during the session.
