The State of Qatar participated in the second meeting at the level of Arab ministers concerned with disaster risk reduction, held at the headquarters of Arab League in Cairo, on Wednesday. HE Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Specialized Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Staff Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, headed the State of Qatar's delegation in meeting. The meeting discussed the draft decisions of the sixth meeting of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction, held recently in Cairo. Additionally, the meeting endorsed the theme for Arab Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2025, "A Resilient Arab Society in the Face of Disasters," proposed by Qatar's national focal point during the session.
