The State of Qatar welcomed on Tuesday the UK's announcement to suspend arms export licenses to the Israeli occupation, including equipment used in the current war on the Gaza Strip, considering it an important step to protect Palestinian civilians, especially children and women. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the consistency of the UK's announcement with the resolutions of the Security Council, the General Assembly of the United Nations, and the International Court of Justice, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip, providing full protection for civilians and civilian objects, and ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza without hindrance. The ministry also pointed out that the announcement would support the ongoing efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip, reiterating the State of Qatar's firm and permanent stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the fraternal Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the two -state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
