Rome, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic and Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Agencies based in Rome Khalid bin Youssef Al Sada has been elected as Vice-Chairperson of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Council in its 175th session, for the third consecutive time. The FAO Council will hold its 175th session from June 10-15, in light of difficult and complex international circumstances, such as the war on Gaza, the tragic food security situation there, and the impact of the war in Ukraine on global food security. The council will also discuss the reports of the regional conferences and technical committees associated with the Council and will take decisions thereon. Source: Qatar News Agency
