Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell below the 10,000-point mark at the beginning of trading on Monday, reaching 9,885 points after dropping 172 points, or 1.71%, compared to the closing of Sunday's session, affected by declines across all sectors. QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in all sectors: Transportation by 3.20 percent, Insurance by 2.47 percent, Real Estate by 1.80 percent, Industrials by 1.79 percent, Banks and Financial Services by 1.39 percent, Telecoms by 1.15 percent, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.82 percent. By 10:00 am, 40.925 million shares were traded in 2,946 transactions valued QAR 98.105 million. Source: Qatar News Agency
