Doha: The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities is holding an awareness event on ways to distinguish Autism at Al Hazm Mall from April 17 to 23.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event, themed "A Spectrum: A Journey of Understanding and Embrace," will take place from 17:00 PM to 21:00 as part of Autism Awareness Month. It aims to raise societal awareness about Autism by offering visitors an interactive experience that highlights the reality and experiences of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The event simulates the sensory and emotional experiences of these individuals, utilizing auditory, visual, and tactile stimuli, carefully designed to reflect the challenges they face in daily environments. This setup enables visitors to go through the experiences and feelings of individuals with ASD, enhancing their understanding of how they feel, think, and respond to their surroundings.

This awareness event provides a valuable opportunity for all members of society, including school and university students, to engage with this sensory experience. It fosters a greater understanding of individuals with ASD and supports inclusion efforts, led by the Shafallah Center as part of its community mission.
