Ramallah - Together - Today, members of the Birzeit Municipal Council unanimously elected Nidal Shaheen as Mayor of Birzeit and Engineer Awadallah Awad as Deputy Mayor, in the new election cycle. Nidal Shaheen stressed that the new Birzeit Municipal Council will strive to provide the best for the citizen and develop what can be developed in the city, adding that this period will be a fundamental period in the history of the Birzeit municipality. In turn, Engineer Awad said that this election will be in the interest of the citizen by providing the best to the people of the city, adding that the development steps and upcoming projects are extremely important for Birzeit, knowing that Engineer Awadallah had a prominent role in launching many projects in Birzeit. It is noteworthy that the businessman, Engineer Awadallah Awad, was elected to several successive councils in the municipality of Birzeit. He is also Vice President of the Public Transport Sector Syndicate in Palestine, and a member of the Board of Di rectors of many national institutions, companies and institutions in Palestine.
