Manama, The Shura Council General Secretariat held a ceremony to honour Bahraini media personnel, on the occasion of Bahraini Press Day celebrated on May 7th. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, the Shura Council Chairman, hailed the efforts of the national media to highlight legislative achievements and support the democratic process in the kingdom led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, affirming that HM the King's support is the core of press and media development in Bahrain. Chairman Al Saleh commended the dedication of local newspapers and various media outlets to fulfilling their responsibilities and supporting the success of the achievements of the governement, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Al Saleh thanked the local press and the Ministry of Information and praised the role of journalists and media professionals in contributing to promoting areas of development and progress in the kingdom.
