The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) held a meeting in Brasilia. The meeting was co-chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Tamer Mansour, the Secretary General of ABCC and Ali El Zoghbi, the Vice President of the Union of Islamic Institutions in Brazil. The meeting was attended by Bader Abbas Al Hulaibi, Bahraini Ambassador to Brazil, and delegation members including MP Zainab Abdulameer Khalil, Deputy Chairman of the Delegation and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee; MP Abdulhakim Mohammad Al Shino; MP Jalal Kadhim Hassan; MP Ahmed Al Salloom; and MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan. The Speaker commended the robust relations between Bahrain and Brazil, highlighting shared interests in various fields. He reiterated the commitment to enhancing economic partnerships and cooperation across all areas, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khal ifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Speaker Al Musallam emphasised the council's commitment to strengthening economic partnerships and increasing trade between the two nations, which reached $1.5 billion last year. He highlighted Bahrain's advanced legislative and economic framework, the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and the attractive investment opportunities across sectors such as food security, agriculture, tourism, and industry. The Speaker stated that the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to develop economic cooperation between Bahrain and Brazil. The visit produced many positive outcomes, which will be further advanced through joint efforts to implement cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding, benefiting both countries, he said. For his part, Tamer Mansour, Secretary General of ABCC, expressed pride in the distinguished relations between Brazil and Bahrain and highlighted the progress in various fields. He emphasised the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporti ng coordination efforts to achieve common goals, encouraging joint investment, and building on the successful outcomes of the Bahrain-Brazil Joint Forum organised by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) during the Brazilian President's visit to Bahrain.
