Jerusalem - Together - The Faculty of Medicine at Al-Quds University has obtained global accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) through the Turkish TEPDAD Foundation, in a result worthy of the quality of the medical program followed at Al-Quds University and the modern methods of qualifying students as graduates in human medicine at the local and global levels. The standards set by the International Federation for Accreditation in Medicine include the mission of the university and college and the objectives of the teaching program. They also cover in depth the teaching plan, learning outcomes and competencies required to obtain knowledge and professional skills, and the infrastructure needed by the educational process that includes teaching halls, educational and research laboratories in addition to the efficiency of the teaching staff. He praised the efforts made to obtain this accreditation at the hands of the academic and administrative staff to keep pace with the latest requirements for obtaining this accreditation. The Deanship of the College of Medicine confirmed that its accreditation comes thanks to the tireless and distinguished efforts of the college staff and students and the continuous support of the university administration, represented by its president, Professor Dr. Imad Abu Kishk, in achieving international quality standards in the field of medical education. She continued that the college focu ses in its strategy on guiding students and developing their skills in extracting information through the development of educational methods that encourage them to self-education and continuity in learning, so that international standards are based on relying on evaluation mechanisms for all courses throughout the years of study in the college, and the college staffs have worked to develop the mechanisms used for evaluation. . The coordinator of the international accreditation program, Dr. Murad Ibrahim said that the preparation process for obtaining this accreditation extended over the past three years, with the accompanying periodic meetings of all branch committees in preparation for developing the final version of the self-evaluation report before submitting it to the TEPDAD committee, thanking all the staff of the college and university departments who participated in assuming this responsibility. The Dean of the College, Dr. Hani Abdeen, in turn chaired the higher committee to prepare for this interna tional accreditation, and worked hand in hand with the College Council and members of the teaching and administrative staff with the encouragement and continuous follow-up of the university administration, headed by Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishk.
