Nablus- Ma'an- The Land Authority teams began providing services to the public on Monday at their new office in northern Nablus, located in the town of Asira al-Shamaliya. The head of the Land Authority, Counselor Alaa al-Tamimi, signed a cooperation agreement with the mayor of Asira al-Shamaliya, Bassam Sawalha, last May, aiming to enhance joint cooperation and unify efforts to serve citizens and alleviate their burdens. Under this agreement, the Asira Municipality will provide a headquarters for the Land Authority to serve more than 10 residential communities in northern Nablus, namely: Asira al-Shamaliya, Sebastia, Bazaria, Taluza, Al-Badhan, Ajnsinya, Beit Umrin, Naqoura, Nisf Jbeil, Barqa, and Yasid, which will enable the Land Authority to provide real estate services to citizens with ease and convenience. This step comes as a result of an extensive study to reduce the burden on the Nablus Governorate Directorate Office, as it is the only office serving citizens in the governorate. It is worth notin g that the Land Authority was keen to integrate the provision of services with the main partners, the property tax, in addition to the presence of a bank branch to meet all needs. This step also comes in line with the government's efforts to ease the burden on citizens, bring services closer, and work to facilitate them, especially in light of the difficult political and economic conditions that the country is going through.
