Manama, Fatima Al Sairafi, the Minister of Tourism, convened with Amin Salam, the Minister of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Lebanon, during his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the thirty-third Arab Summit. During the meeting, Minister Al Sairafi underscored the significance of strengthening the robust relations between Bahrain and Lebanon, highlighting the ongoing progress in bilateral cooperation, particularly in tourism, travel, and hospitality, and emphasising their pivotal role in fostering growth and substantial GDP contributions, thus expediting the trajectory of national development for both nations. Within the context of the Bahrain Summit, Minister Al Sairafi underscored the critical role of these various meetings, including the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League. These gatherings serve as a vital platform to facilitate tourism integration amongst Arab nations. The ultimate objective is to cultivate a significant increase in intra-Arab tourism, thereby augmenting the contribution of the tourism sector to national development across the region. Furthermore, this collaborative effort fosters enhanced social, cultural, and historical integration amongst the Arab people. The Minister of Tourism outlined a comprehensive strategy for revitalizing Arab tourism through collaborative efforts in marketing the region, attracting investments to develop destinations, embracing digital tools to modernise the industry, promoting the rich tapestry of tourist attractions across the Arab world, and fostering innovation to create a more dynamic and competitive tourism landscape.
