Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law to reduce the age of conscription for military service from 27 to 25 years. The move will allow Ukraine to call up more people to replenish its reserves after volunteer numbers dropped. Zelensky said in December that 500,000 more soldiers needed to be mobilized. Ukraines Army Chief said last week "after reviewing our internal resources and clarifying the combat composition of the Armed Forces, this figure was significantly reduced." The Ukrainian Parliament passed the bill in May 2023 but Zelensky had not signed it until Tuesday. Source: Qatar News Agency
