Damascus, Under the patronage of Commander-in-Cheif of the Army and Armed Forces, President Bashar al-Assad, a ceremony was held at Dar al- Assad for Culture and Arts to honor excelled students of the martyrs' sons and the wounded with a total disability in the basic and general secondary education certificates for the year 2024. On behalf of President, General Ali Mahmoud Abbas, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Minister of Defense, sponsored the ceremony. General Abbas, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the President's congratulations to the excelled students and his wishes for good health, success and excellence. He pointed out that this honor carries great meanings and connotations as it is considered an appreciation of the importance of educational attainment, adding that knowledge and excellence are the other side of the heroism and sacrifices made by the martyrs. In his speech, General Abbas called on the excelled students to continue hard work and to keep the latest fi ndings of science, based on the fact that science and the possession of creativity tools constitute the strongest foundation in building the nation and its prosperity. In turn, the students and their families praised the care and attention provided by the President to encourage them to excel, distinguish themselves and innovate, stressing that success is the greatest joy that makes them feel the greatness of their fathers' sacrifices.
